Ecotron (Emulsion Type) Oil/Water Condensate Separators 88 to 2,119 scfm (15 -400 hp) Ecotron separators are the simple, economical and environmentally responsible solution to treating compressed air condensate, when installed as part of the system. Oily condensate is produced in a compressed air system by rotary or piston type lubricated air compressors and the additional condensate removed from the air stream during the cooling, refrigerated drying and filtration phases of the air treatment process. The problem worsens when there is a blend of several types of lubricants and/or the use of condensate drains which usually turns the condensate into a stable emulsion rendering it impossible to separate with gravity separation systems unlike Ecotron.
